Welcome to Pelican Cove Counseling Center…
where psychoanalysis is offered as a compassionate and reflective space to understand yourself more deeply. Rooted in curiosity rather than judgment, psychoanalysis invites you to explore the thoughts, emotions, and patterns—both conscious and unconscious—that shape your everyday life.
Here, the therapeutic relationship becomes a steady anchor, allowing you to move at your own pace while discovering new ways of relating to yourself and others. Whether you’re looking to make sense of recurring challenges, heal from past experiences, or simply gain a richer understanding of your inner world, psychoanalysis provides a thoughtful, individualized path forward.
Our aim is to create a warm, welcoming environment where you feel safe to speak freely, reflect openly, and grow in meaningful, lasting ways. At Pelican Cove we offer sliding scale fees starting at $60 per hour, so no one is turned away due to their financial situation.
We offer the following services:
Individual Therapy
Couples Therapy
Family Therapy
Health and Wellness Workshops
*We offer 3 FREE therapy sessions to those affected by the LA fires and those affected by the ICE raids.

Pelican Cove has a dual mission; providing low income individuals access to quality, open-ended, long-term mental health treatment and to provide excellent training on psychodynamic and other insight oriented/humanistic orientations for our therapists. A key underlying component of our mission is to rely solely on private funding to avoid any undue influence that would prevent us from providing the type of long-term, open-ended care that we believe is essential to effectuating lasting improvement in mental health.

The nation is currently in a mental health crisis. Access to quality, open ended, long term therapy is vital for all regardless of their financial situation. Without treatment, the consequences of mental illness for the individual and society are staggering. Untreated mental health conditions can result in unnecessary disability, unemployment, substance abuse, homelessness, inappropriate incarceration, and suicide, not to mention poor quality of life.

Now! When we opened our doors in June of 2020, we offered approximately 100 therapy sessions per month. Fast forward to today, we offer 500+ therapy sessions monthly and anticipate doubling that in 2023. Don’t wait, now is the time to get the help you deserve or make a donation, if you are in a position to do so.
